Each sauna feels different depending on the heater type, amount of heaters, placement, wattage going through them, the fluence of the heater, size of heater, how far the heaters are away from you on the sides, and most importantly, how slow the climb is to the peak point of the heat, usually 110 to 140 depending on the sauna.
It is not the feeling I get right when I walk in their although that plays a big part in my decision. Its the "Slow Climb" saunas that after you are in for a session, its how long the heaters stay on during the climb after it reaches around 110. AFter 100 degrees, the heaters are already warm and some go quicker to 140 and others take a very long time to reach 140 (slow climb heaters). These are the type that quickly gets to 110 and then it has a slow climb after that so the heaters stay on 90% or more of the time.
Some people like the heaters that stay on the entire time. Very few sauna heaters stay on the entire time. These are the super expensive models too.
Its the feeling I get during the session but just as important the way I feel afterwards. The ones that have constant infrared rays 90% or more of the time give me a different feeling in my bones, my muscles, my energy level than the ones that stay on half the time. In reality, the 30 minute session if only on half the times is really like a 15 minute session. It's hard to not let the heat inside the sauna fool me.
Some heaters get more hotter in some saunas while others I lay my back next to the heater and I just don't feel as much energy coming out of it. Its like getting a massage and its bugging me because I want the massage therapist to go harder but they just aren't strong enough.
In the morning, theres a very short window when the infrared rays are high without getting exposed to the dangerous rays. People who put on sun screen block the far infrared. If no sunscreen, the people get the rays but absorb the harmful rays.
Different saunas brands feel totally different. I am not comparing the woods or construction but just the way the feeling I get from the heaters, the way I feel after the session too.
The best sauna gives me that feel good heat almost the entire time. An example of heat that doesn't feel good is sitting in a hot car in the summer or waiting for a subway in New York. Rarely people like to go in a sauna in the hot summer at the gym even if the sauna is in a building. But in the winter it feels good.
The feel good feeling we get when we cuddling, all we are doing is exchanging far infrared. Dogs cuddle not because they love each other but because of the infrared heat generated when next to each other. Many people snuggle with their partner and they think its love, its often the feeling from the far infrared they crave.

The best time to go is around 1am in the morning after the girls have been dancing all day. The sweater the better. If the sweat can get through the fat, then thats a sign that the infrared is coming through also and thats the perfect girl. Grab her. Keep her with you as long as you can. A good sauna is like having 20 strippers dancing for you at once. Each heater, depending on the fluence and size of the heater, can either feel like cuddling skin on skin with your partner and your dog. (yes, this is why many dogs like to bark and beg to go in the bed with their owners.
Or, the heater can feel like 5 strippers. 8 small heaters will feel like 8 skinny anorexic strippers while 8 or 10 big high fluence heaters will feel like 8 of them dancing on each side of you, front of you, all over your body.
Guys like the clubs and like dances not because they are pretty or their bodies, they are there for the feel good infrared energy they give off. Its not the same thing going to a regular dance club. The clothes from people block almost all the far infrared energy. Notice people wear jackets and scarves to keep the far infrared heat in.
The best time to do this experiment is just when the the dancer just danced 3 dances on stage. Right when they are finished, this is prime time. Don't let them go freshen up in the bathroom. If you miss it, the 2nd best time is to get them after they just danced for another guy.
To get the best bang for your buck, right girl is the one that has just started her brow break, One the brow breaks, this is the one you want. They have the highest range of of 6 to 14 microns. Having 3 girls gives the broadest range. Have them run in place in front of you to keep the far infrared pouring from their bodies. When they come over and ask if you want a dance. Say NO. Tell them to stand a foot in front of you and jog in place.
